2025 Event Information
We’ve made changes to the Dash for the Cash for 2025. While we will still be having an Open and Junior Race, we have elected to go away from the ‘slot race’ format and just have a high dollar Open and Junior Race.
TIME: 10 AM
No toonie runs. Arena will be open until 9:30 AM for open riding. NO barrel work permitted in the competition arena. Juniors will run before the Open.
Entry Fees:
Open - $200
Junior (16 & under as of January 1st) - $100
+ $15 administration fee (once per rider per day)
+ $25 photography fee (one time fee per horse/rider entered in any or all barrel races this weekend)
The Open race will be run in a 4D format with 0.7 second splits. 3 placings per D will be paid out with equal payout in each D.
The Junior race will be 3D format with 0.7 second splits. 2 placings per D will be paid out with equal payout in each D.
No more than 10% of the total pot will be withheld to purchase prizes. NO CAP on entries.
Full western attire dress code will be in effect for the competition and the awards. Awards ceremony to follow approximately 30 minutes after the race.
SIDEPOTS
The following sidepots will be available to enter. Registration papers must be provided for all horses entered into a sidepot. Futurity horses must be 5 years of age or younger and in their futurity year. Derby horses are eligible up to age 8.
