Tribute To Grandpa Wiebe
On
Tuesday, April 15th, 2008 at Salem Home in Winkler, MB, Frank Wiebe,
formerly of the Burwalde District near Winkler, aged 86 years passed
away peacefully in his sleep.
Frank Wiebe, husband, father &
grandfather was born on October 3, 1921 in the Burwalde School District
to Peter P. & Margaret Wiebe. Frank & Anne (Loewen) were
married on October 1, 1949 & raised 2 children, Rick & Margo,
on the home place. They farmed, raised horses and later had a PMU
operation. When Frank's health no longer allowed him to do these
things, his son, Rick, took over.
He
loved his family (especially is 2 granddaughters, Tanya & Dusty) as
well as people, music, horses, mules & trail rides. Grandpa
was always involved in horses, he loved Appaloosa's & mules &
he especially loved driving them, in parades, trail rides, sleigh rides
& for fun!
He
was baptized by Pastor Deutschhausen into the Christian faith in 1960
and renewed his faith in Jesus Christ later in life. As his
health deteriorated, Dad spent the last 2 1/2 years of his life in
Salem Home. During this time, the staff at Salem were loving
& compassionate to Dad & our family as well. The family
extends its sincerest thanks to everyone who helped make this time as
comfortable as possible.
He
leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife of 58 years, Anne Wiebe of
Winkler; 1 daughter Margo & Larry Friesen of the Morden district; 1
son Rick F. & Barb Wiebe of Burwalde; 2 granddaughters, Tanya &
Bryan Gerbrandt of Morden and Dusty & Brad Dunn of Carman as well
as 3 sisters, Esther Enns of Abbotsford, BC, Alvina and John McLaughlin
of Parksville and Marjorie & Rev. Jerry Hildebrand of
Winkler; many nieces, nephews & friends.
We wouldn't give him up to anyone but You, Lord.
