W Ranch The 2007 sale was once again, held at the Heartland Livestock Yards, Brandon, Manitoba. The auctioneers were Donnie Peacock, Maple Creek, SK as well as Mike Fleury, Saskatoon, SK. Glen Gabel, Regina, SK as well as Greg Frick, Whitewood, SK read pedigrees. Buyers came from Canada’s
coast to coast including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan,
Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec as well as Nova Scotia. We had a few U.S.
buyers from North Dakota as well as
Pennsylvania. There was an outstanding
set of horses consigned to our 21st Annual Sale. The high selling horse, consigned by MJ Quarter Horse, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB, Lot # 439 a 2003 AQHA blue roan stallion, was purchased by Vaughn Mayert, Morden, MB for $7500. The second high selling horse, consigned by Barry Quam, Montmartre, SK, Lot # 165 a 2005 AQHA bay mare sired by leading barrel sire, Crimewave, was purchased by Dennis Desmet, Baldur, MB for $6900. The third high selling horse, consigned by Chris Storozinski, Brandon, MB, Lot # 432 a 2003 AQHA palomino gelding, was purchased by Roland Penner, Steinbach, MB for $6500. The fourth high selling horse, consigned by Kevin & Sandra McCutcheon, Saskatoon, SK Lot # 114 a 2002 AQHA palomino gelding, was purchased by Dave Dyck, Plumas, MB for $5700.
