THE RANCH
The
Rocking W Ranch is located near Morden, Manitoba, Canada. On the
ranch we strive to raise excellent quality foals & young prospects.
The majority of our horses are AQHA registered arena, rope, ranch
& barrel bred horses. We sell a number of our foals annually at
our Fall Sale, but we also keep some prospects back for training in our
own program. We usually have horses of all ages & stages of training for sale at all times of the
year off the ranch.
The
ranch location is home to Rick & Barb Wiebe, who also manage
& promote the Rocking W Horse Sales. Rick's children are also
involved in the horse industry in their own way, respectively.
Bryan
& Tanya Gerbrandt live in the town of Morden, but own their own broodmares that
they breed to the Rocking W Ranch's stallions, as well as some geldings
& young prospects which they keep at the ranch.
Brad
& Dusty Dunn live on an acreage just outside of Carman, MB & own their own broodmares that
they breed to the Rocking W Ranch's stallions, as well as barrel racing
horses & prospects. Dusty trains barrel horses in her spare
time.
THE SALE
The first Rocking W Ranch Sale was held in 1986 & has been held
consecutively since then. Eventually the Spring Sale was added
each year. The sales are managed & promoted by Rick Wiebe
& his
wife Barb, as well as his children.
The annual sales, both spring & fall are held in Brandon,
Manitoba. The sale has an excellent reputation for selling high quality
horses consigned from farms & ranches across Canda & the United
States. The Rocking W Horse Sales are known for their
professional manner, character & integrity & is one of the
largest of its
kind in Canada.
